Wildflower meadows, Fulbourn Hospital
Grow Places has been commissioned by The Friends of Fulbourn Hospital and Community to establish a new wildflower meadow in the grounds of Fulbourn Hospital.
The Friends received a grant as part of the relaunched Bags of Help scheme that will land in Tesco stores at the end of the year. The Wildflower meadows project was successfully shortlisted as a trial of the new process.
Thanks to this funding we are able to develop an area of the hospital grounds for wildlife as well as creating seating and picnicking areas for patients, visitors and staff.
We will be working closely with the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire Wildlife Trust to create this new Chalk Grassland flora and fauna habitat.
